HOW TO HIBERNATE YOUR AIRFLOW® DEVICE

Please read the official IFU document from EMS and follow the below steps to store your device for an extended period of time.

STEP 1

Depressurize your powder chamber to remove any remaining powder.

STEP 2

Remove your handpieces and sterilise.

AIRFLOW® and PIEZON® handpieces and all instruments must be sterilized after each treatment as per the official EMS IFU document and the ADA Infection Control Guidelines.

STEP 3

Wipe down the device with neutral detergent wipes.

For the cleaning and disinfection of EMS devices use only neutral detergents such as IC-100 wipes (4153) (Clean wipes) by Alpro Medical GmbH. To disinfect, use a TGA approved disinfectant such as PlastiSept eco wipes (4623) by Alpro Medical GmbH.

STEP 4

Remove, rinse and dry your water bottles.

EMS recommends a weekly use of a bottle cleaning agent (e.g. BC-San 100 from Alpro Medical GmbH).

STEP 5

Start the Night Cleaner process according to the official IFU document from EMS.

The Night Cleaner is safe to leave in the lines for up to 3 months.

TIP: Use only EMS NIGHT CLEANER as a cleaning agent. Other products may damage or not clean the unit, and cause patient intoxication.

Do not use Hydrogen Peroxide.

STEP 6

Remove and empty your powder chambers.

Blow the chambers out with dry air using a compressed air line.

STEP 7

Cover your device.

STEP 8

Unplug your device from the wall along with your air line.

Disconnect the air line quick connector from your compressor.

Remember to always follow your State and Territory’s ADA Infection Control Guidelines.
