1. Check the tip/instrument

Make sure the tip is correctly screwed on. Use the CombiTorque® to screw the tip/instrument on. Only use original EMS instruments. Check the length of the tip with the Check Tool. If the tip is too short, dispose of it.

2. Check the handpiece

Make sure you are using an original EMS handpiece. Remove the metal cap and look at the threads to ensure they are in good condition. If they are worn, contact an EMS Service Centre.

3. Check the connection

Make sure the connection and handpiece are dry. Check the metal parts of the connection. If it is dark instead of gold, the connection is oxidated. When the handpiece or the connections are wet during use, the liquid will cause metal oxidation and loss of handpiece power.

To avoid this problem in future, make sure the handpiece and the connection are dry before use.
