About the Webinar

Implant dentistry has seen an unprecedented exponential growth over the past few decades as patients have benefited from the novel treatment solutions it offered to rehabilitating their edentulous problem. However, such growth has been paralleled by a concomitant increase in the number of implants afflicted by peri-implant diseases, such as peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Clinicians have had to adapt and utilize a range of non-surgical and surgical treatments in a bid to manage these disease entities and reduce their adverse effects on patients’ function and wellbeing.

Gain first-hand knowledge on this very topical pathology from Dr Marina Kamel, a Periodontist based in Brisbane, QLD with extensive experience in periodontics and implant dentistry.

What will you learn?

  • The aetiology, pathophysiology, and diagnostic criteria of peri-implant disease
  • Non-surgical and surgical interventions available in today’s market to manage these disease entities
  • The decision-making process for selecting an appropriate intervention
  • The expected outcomes for each of these treatment modalities
