FAQS & TROUBLESHOOTING
AIRFLOW® Device
Check the electrical connection and power socket to make sure the device is properly plugged in.
If the device is properly plugged in there might be an issue with the fuses.
Contact your Service Centre.
! Risk of bottle explosion.
! First disconnect the mains plug.
This symptom is generally caused by a problem with the pressure regulator (fault or low temperature) or a water bottle crack.
1. Stop using your device immediately and disconnect it from the grid.
2. Check the bottle in use for cracks or damage and, if necessary, replace it with a new one.
3. Check the supplied air pressure: it shall be 4.5 bar minimum. 6 bar ideally.
4. If the device temperature is below 10°C (it is too cold), wait for it to warm up at ambient temperature, reconnect to the power grid, and switch it on again.
5. If the device temperature is over 10°C, or the problem recurs, stop using it and contact an EMS Service Centre.
! Risk of fire and electric shock.
Stop using your device immediately, disconnect the main plug and contact your Service Centre.
Check the actual pH of the wipes you are using. Some say “neutral” but are actually quite Alkaline. You will find it on the MSDS that came with the wipes.
No mater what you use, you should always dry it off. Moisture sitting around on plastics aren’t good for the device. Check the wipe cloth for abrasive fibres too.
Once a week you should use a damp soft cloth with the tiniest bit of mild dish washing liquid to remove the residue build up that all wipes leave on the machine over a period of time.
Recommended wipes: IC-100

If the issue is not resolved, please contact your Service Centre for further support.
The problem may have multiple causes. A step-by-step multiple checks are required.
Remove the AIRFLOW® Handpiece and try to pressurise the powder chamber.
If the powder chamber pressurises:
- The Handpiece may be clogged. Follow the maintenance process to prevent or unclogg the Handpiece by watching the video in our the maintenance section. How to reprocess and prevent clogging of AIRFLOW® MAX Handpiece?
If the powder chamber does not pressurise, you have 2 options:
- If the issue is the same with both powder chambers, the air pressure may not be sufficient. Check if the compressor is on and the device is correctly connected. If necessary, contact your technician and check the air pressure.
- If the issue is not the same with both powder chambers, powder may be stuck inside the chamber. Shake the powder chamber properly before use. If this doesn’t help, remove the powder from the powder chamber, dry it using compressed air and add new powder. If this also does not solve the issue, perform the whole chamber cleaning process.
Water & Disinfectant Bottle
- Set your water regulators to 10 (maximum flow) on the cords.
- Make sure you have well-connected and sufficient pressure from your water supply.
- Perform a second rinsing phase before starting a treatment.
If the issue is not resolved, please contact your Service Centre for further support.
